Image 1.....Blood in epidural catheter in a case of a lady undergoing Total Hip Replacement under Spinal and Epidural anaesthesia. The blood appeared in the catheter after she had recieved 3 epidural topups, prior to the 4th. Thankfully at the end of the surgery.
Image 2.....A spinal needle that bent while it was being removed after an otherwise uneventful spinal because the patient gave a sudden jerk while the needle was being removed.
